Have I lost my brainpower in middle age?

In years gone by, I've built entire flat pack wardrobes/chests of drawers etc with no problems.

I've bought some really simple looking flat pack bedside tables and I'm just confounded by the diagrams 🤷🏼‍♀️ why can't they put words on? If it said "take screw A and screw into piece B" I'd have no problem.

Is it just me that looks at a page of diagrams with arrows all over it and can't even work out where to bloody start?!

It's not just you. I've never been able to make head nor tail of them! I think it's done to save translation costs, but I wish they would use actual words!

Diagrams negates having to put up multiple language descriptions so it's easier for companies. It would be a lot easier with some words, however, for the customer.
I used to do lots of IKEA stuff in my younger days, not tried of late so I don't know if I've lost the ability in middle age. Perhaps I should try some?😆
Usually you get a pic of all the suppled nuts & bots etc. From memory it's key you check you have them all and then it's key to match the supply pic to the screw or whatever on a particular diagram. Good luck, some people never had the ability to start with. I quite enjoyed it when I think back.

Yes I used to enjoy it too!

Now I'm just bamboozled. Wonder if they thought of doing YouTube videos? Could just click a link and follow someone more capable.
