What is my iPhone doing?

Every so often I pick up my phone and the lock screen has done this.

I actually quite like it, but I've no idea how it happens, or how to do it deliberately. My actual lock screen is completely different.

Mine does this too and I quite like it but no idea why it does it randomly! 🤷‍♀️

It's the screensaver setting, I can't remember how to get it on, but remember googling how to turn it off as it drove me crazy, is it something to do with it being on charge??

I think it is when it is on charge and in landscape orientation.

It's called StandBy and you can turn off in settings

If you have screen rotation on this feature means you can use your phone as a bedside clock, just prop it up on its side.

Mine has started to do this randomly too

It drives me nuts

Especially as I can't just get rid of it by swiping etc

I have to ask Siri to open the weather app as the easiest way to get back to my normal screen
