Opinions on covid jabs side effects?

I do hav quite a bad health anxiety and OCD mainly around my health and I have done for many years but it varies in intensity.

I saw in the news about footballers and other celebrities just dropping dead, maybe it's my algorithm on my phone but I was watching reels on Facebook and every reel was literally talking about young people, old people, healthy people just dropping dead suddenly. Alot of the comments on these reels was saying it's due to the covid jabs, and that it's not coincidence.

This absolutely terrifies me. Sends me into a full blown panic attack which will probably last for a few weeks now and I will go into all sorts of avoidant and safety behaviours until I feel "safe" again.

I guess I'm wanting to know others opinions on the matter. I've only had two jabs and didn't get any other boosters. Way before I had my DS mind and he's 2 now. Im in a blind panic and worrying now. Maybe I just need a talk down. Who knows?! But id love to hear others views. Is it a load of tosh or is there some evidence here?

I don't know anybody that has died from the vaccination. Do you?

DreamW3aver · 03/09/2024 20:26

Step away from the internet

It's a load of tosh.

People have always dropped dead.

Honestly it's concerning that you'd even take these antivaxxers seriously. Just think about it. How do they know who has had the covid jab? They don't know these people or what medical conditions they might have. Did they perform the autopsy on these dead people?

Why do you think these antivaxxers know more than medical professionals?

LoneHydrangea · 03/09/2024 20:30

Have you thought about focussing instead on your mental health? You’re not being remotely rational.

Yes, I did think this, I know deep down that it happens. It's happened to people I know.. dropping dead I mean. We just don't tend to hear about it all the time. I guess my mind just goes into overdrive and I find it difficult to get the what ifs out of my head.

I know deep down I'm not being rational but at the same time I have the niggle in my head.

I've had many therapies and such over the years and sometimes I'm extremely well. Others not so much.

Once you watch one reel on FB the algorithm notices and shows you more on the same subject which fuels any anxiety you have.

Unfortunately the young /fit/healthy people probably had an underlying undiagnosed heart condition (I don't know, I'm making big assumptions here).

I would avoid social media, or search/watch videos that are completely unrelated (such as nice holiday destinations, or Brad Mondo videos, or chocolate factory reels, whatever) to try to reset your algorithm.

This is also another thing what scares me the most. I diagnosed conditions. I've had heart symptoms before and was ruled as nothing but again these reels make me think "what if".

This is the algorythm on your phone. I have seen no videos about it and have never heard anything about this.

If you've had heart symptoms and given the 'all clear' then I would be reassured by that.
I have a history of heart stuff. I've had lots of investigations (not just a heart trace/ECG) and they found nothing wrong with my heart. Although it's scary I am reassured by the medics. I work in a hospital, a patient facing job, and have had every covid vaccine going as have the majority of my colleagues. I know of no one who has dropped down dead.

I know I sound harsh, that is not my intention. I am trying to make you feel better about this, honest!

TidalShore · 03/09/2024 20:47

I've lost count of the number of covid vaccines I've had (CEV category) and already booked in for my next one. I'm not dead yet! And I'm sure they'd not still be giving me them if they thought it likely I was going to from it.

I only had a couple ECG and a 24 hr monitor and they said it was ventricular ectropics but normal.

I know what you are saying and I really appreciate your input. Thank you! X

It's just as if not more likely that if there are increased risks of cardiac issues it's due to actual COVID infection that's responsible not jabs.

A lot of the people I know infected before jabs had racing heart rates palpitations etc for weeks after infection. Unlike. Flu COVID is a vascular disease.

I haemorrhaged for two days after getting the Covid vaccine and eighteen months later was diagnosed with stage 3c leiomyosarcoma which started in my womb. I will regret getting the vaccine for the rest of my life.

I'm so sorry to hear this, but the vaccine did not cause the leiomyosarcoma.
