PiP assessment

Hi just applied for pip had my assessment 23rd advised yesterday they have made a decision and a letter has been sent out does that mean I haven’t got it did not receive a text thank you

Did they tell you that on the phone ?

I'd say their decision is in the letter.

I phoned them to get a copy of my assessment so I asked if a decision had been made and they said yes and that a letter has been sent out

Ring the payments free phone line. You'll hear the amount/s on an ai voice & this will tell you the rate so you can work out if you're on higher or lower rate.

I do not know what the decision is yet they have sent a letter looking at other messages most people get a text to say they have been awarded I have not received anything apart from pip telling me a letter has been sent so I am thinking I have not been awarded anything thanks

I got a text saying I had been awarded PIP, but I’m not sure whether that is always the case.

As a PP has said if you call the advice line there is an automated option to hear your next payment amount so that would be worth a try, not sure you can get through the security checks without knowing the date of your payment though. If not call them - you might be on hold for a while.

I also got a text saying a decision had been made & letter would be sent. It was for a renewal & I was awarded the same as before so I dont think the text means anything either way. There's many different companies contracted to do assessments each with a slightly different way of communicating with people so I wouldn't assume you've been refused just based on other people getting a different text.
