Women swooning over murderers

I don't want to name him as the publicity just ads to his ego but a recent case of a murderer that was convicted of murdering two women in America and was well publicised because of his facial tattoos has a big female fan base via Tik Tok, writing to him in jail and declarations of love for him.

Even without the tattoos he's utterly repellent as he looks devoid of humanity and with the tattoos he looks terrifying.

When he speaks, it's clear he's an idiot so he can't even be admired for his intelligence.

Catherine Tate as Elaine Figgis made a wonderful spoof about this, which was gloriously funny but in reality, what the hell is wrong with these women?

Have you ever felt drawn to a murderer or serial killer? I know I haven't!

Nothing to see here - always been the same

It's a really interesting subject. I think that at the core of the attraction is trauma, however some of these women believe they can save people. There was one woman I read about who married a dangerous man and when he came out of prison, he killed her.

Having said that, Rose West nearly got married again to a musician. So men are obviously attracted to dangerous women.

Oh yes, he was another one that looked like he'd kill you just for looking at him!

Ugly, thick brute!

I know someone who married a death row prisoner. For her, I think it was all about control. She was in control of the relationship, she only met him a few times I believe, and she was always a very controlling person. As her kids got older, she needed someone else to control, so found a prisoner. It's a pretty safe way of keeping control of the situation as she knows that he will never be released from prison.
In reality she's just as messed up as him. Just she's never killed anyone.

I’ve just watched a series called Prison Brides (Prime I think). It’s fascinating to follow the stories of women who seek out prison pen pals and then go on to marry them. Once the blokes are released it all seems to go a bit tits up.

DH and I have been baffled by the psychology of these women. One is 20s/early 30s marrying a chap who has about 50 years left to serve so she’s giving up children and life with a present and involved partner to marry him. Her parents have been in tears.

I can't get my head around this one.

This woman risked her career and a criminal conviction for an inappropriate relationship in prision with the man who raped and killed Zara Aleena.

I've been pondering this one too. At face value it's utterly abhorrent and you have to wonder what goes through her mind.

But more likely is he's a really dangerous manipulative character who found a point of vulnerability in this woman and exploited it mercilessly.

Been a few cases of women prison staff in this situation recently.

People request copies of the letters these people recieve, I think it's under the freedom of information act in America or something.

I follow a woman on tiktok who used to read the letters Chris Watts got from women, all they knew about him was that he is, objectively, good looking, and he murdered his pregnant wife and 2 kids, and the stuff they said to him was mindblowing.

With the guy you're on about people have recordings of his phonecalls with a woman, also absolutely crazy stuff.

I don't get it at all.
