Can’t unsee the Lush torture p*rn gimmick from some years ago

I am, or used to be, a die-hard Lush fan, I just love their ethos and many of their products are my go-tos. I know this is from some time ago, but after seeing about this posted elsewhere recently, I just can’t get past it. I’m all for animal rights and eco-conscious products, but not like this. Surely they can raise awareness without a 10 hour long torture p*rn fantasy played out in a shop window? On another news site for this story, with a comments section, the comments from men were about as grim as you can imagine. Turned my stomach. Surely Lush knew exactly what they were doing.

Has the 'model' spoken out against them since?
Definitely a bizarre thing to agree to doing.

I’m not sure, but when you are passionate about a cause, some people will go to any lengths to try to enact change. I feel this was really inappropriate of Lush and while I don’t want to take away the woman’s agency in choosing to do this, it nonetheless feels very exploitative.

It's definitely very weird!

Oddly she doesn't seem to have any online presence, desire being described as a performance artist. I wonder where she is?

Here's the "Lush Campaign Manager" who was responsible for the campaign in the U.K, if not further afield. I recognised the name. She campaigned to be co-leader of the Green Party I think.

FWR regulars might remember her en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamsin_Omond
