Could this be Covid?

I'm wondering if Covid symptoms can vary so much that one person would have respiratory symptoms and another gastro symptoms?

DD had runny nose, cough, tiredness type symptoms at the weekend. I have just woken up feeling awfully nauseous and dizzy.

I'm wondering if it could be Covid or does one variant tend to cause the same type of symptoms for all?

I have emetophobia so I'm sort of hoping it's covid rather than a sickness bug as I'm more likely to avoid vomiting in this case.

I also work from home so can't think where I would have caught something except through the children.

Just laying down still doing deep breathing to try not to throw up. Urgg.

Yes, even in the very early days when there was only the one variant doing the rounds, there could be considerable variations in symptoms between people, and it has always been capable of producing GI symptoms.

Take plenty of rest, and I hope the worst passes soon. But keep resting, ideally for a day or two longer than you think you need.

My friend has covid right now his symptoms started exactly like you are describing.

Thanks all, it would make sense for it to be Covid. When DH woke up the first thing he said is that he felt like he'd been hit by a bus and DS had a mild fever this morning too.

So here we are, the 3 of us starting with symptoms 3 days after DD's started so I imagine we all have the same thing.

Fingers crossed it passes quickly.

It was awful I dreamt I was being sick and woke up so nauseous! It did settle though and I've been able to eat today so at least I dodged the vomiting! I keep getting weird sweats and just feel a bit weak though

Hope you feel well soon. If you want to know, maybe take a covid test a couple of days in a row and see if you test positive
