Would Newcastle be a nice place to visit with teens?

Just looking for somewhere different for a weekend. We live in north Scotland so trying to think of somewhere we can go by train and been to Edinburgh lots already

What sort of things do the teens like?

Yes plenty to see and do in Newcastle then make use of the metro to go to Tynemouth.

What is at tynemouth? It’s teen boys so not really shopping. Maybe a vr experience might go down well.

Tynemouth has surfing lessona, the market at the station is good for a look around especially if they are into Anime or retro computer games/super heroes etc nice bars and places to eat.
