Clothes retailers that don't use Evri?

I'm looking for t shirts, trousers etc, high street prices. But I can't visit shops and Evri don't deliver in this area but still tell the retailers that they do, so the retailers send the parcels via Evri and they just get dumped somewhere I suppose.

So I need clothes but can't use any retailer which MIGHT use Evri. Some, eg ASOS, use a few couriers but can't tell you in advance which one they'll use so that's no good.

Anyone know any retailers which have not succumbed?

Are there any retailers that you can get to for collect from store? I collect from a nearby M&S food hall. Or can they go to a locker that you can pick up from.

Solonga · 02/09/2024 20:32

Seasalt use Royal Mail, Amazon, their own vans,

DurinTheDeathless · 02/09/2024 20:37

I stay over 100 miles from the nearest clothes shop. For family reasons I can't take a whole day out and a four hour road trip just for some t shirts 😆

@Solonga thank you! I don't think of Seasalt as my style, but you never know! I will definitely have a look.

It might be worth getting Amazon Prime if you haven't got it as they sell lots of clothes brands and the Prime stuff comes on the Amazon van, I bought some Levi's and some boots and they were both Prime and come on the van

Who do Tu (Sainsbury's) use now they've switched over to Argos? I normally do a click and collect but I know the clothing side has been taken over by Argos now. I can't see anything on their website but someone else might know

Icecreamandcoffee · 02/09/2024 20:47

Do you have an ASDA nearby? They take a lot of deliveries from lots of clothes shops. Look up ASDAtoyou.

Solonga · 02/09/2024 20:52

Fatface says on it's website it uses Royal Mail, I had ordered a couple of things from them which the postman delivered

LittleG69 · 02/09/2024 20:58

Uniqlo though they use yodel 🙄

DurinTheDeathless · 02/09/2024 21:05

No Asda for 110 miles 😁

Amazon often use Royal Mail, but I'm pretty sure they've used Evri on occasion. We don't have Amazon vans here so Prime wouldn't help.

Uniqlo and Fatface I will definitely look at.

I've just had a uniqlo and it was yodel. No problems with them. I was able to rearrange the delivery date and it came without problems too.

NigelHarmansNewWife · 02/09/2024 21:13

John Lewis used Yodel last time I ordered from them.

Out of curiosity, do you really not have any supermarket within a more reasonable distance?

DurinTheDeathless · 02/09/2024 21:29

@lightinthebox pretty much just Co-ops in the rural Highlands. Co-op doesn't do clothes.

I've just started buying some clothes on Pink Boutique and they use DPD next day . Might be a bit out there for some , but I love thier colourful clothes lol

I'm guessing OP lives where I do. Based on the Evri debacle being the big news round here at the moment. We really don't have any of the big 5 supermarkets within 100 miles. Making for a 200 mile minimum round trip.

OP there is a Facebook group going and one woman has done a spreadsheet with a huge list of retailers and which delivery service they use. You can go look for ones that don't use Evri there. You should find it easy enough as it's "place name - Evri support (local)"

lightinthebox · 02/09/2024 21:52

Does the Co Op accept Evri parcels for collection?

Frosty1000 · 02/09/2024 22:11

Roman uses royal mail I believe, well they did with my recent parcel. Next can definitely deliver to a post office to pick up from, as does John Lewis.

DurinTheDeathless · 03/09/2024 09:17

@lightinthebox technically Evri are delivering to 'local' Post Offices for collection, but of eight parcels I've had in the last month, only one has arrived, and it was delivered to a post office 30 miles away instead, just so I could enjoy a nice 60 mile drive taking my life in my hands with all the mental tourists on the road. The other seven parcels just never turned up. Tracking says 'we have your parcel ' but they just never get delivered anywhere at all.

@MistyWitch hi! I can guess the Facebook group, but I've not seen a list of retailers on it, just people sharing their stories of woe! I'll have another look.

@spamandeggs that is some crazy stuff! I think it's just a wee bit wild for me 🤣

If you know what you want, Vinted is great and you can select your postage method (as long as sellers offer it).
