E-reader that works with borrow box

I need one without the faff of connecting it to a computer to download through Adobe digital editions. I've got an ancient Kobo ereader and a big Kobo purchased library but I am finding the downloading a faff.

Does an ereader exist that will download library books through borrowbox on wifi?

Oh, just to add that I have the apps on my iphone and iPad but I don't want to be 'connected', hence the e-reader.

My e-reader is for when I want to escape the world.

Yes the Adobe thing is really annoying

I also have an ancient kobo and use Overdrive but my library has swapped to BorrowBox annoyingly! And I don't understand what Libby is.

From my research the most compatible is a Boox/Onyx Boox or other random Android readers. You can just open the borrowbox app and read without having to do the DRM thing. It'll be my next purchase I think

I have a Boox ereader which is android and you can install any app from the appstore on it. Not in the Uk but I have the Dutch borrowbox equivalent from my library on it.

Thank you, I have never heard of Boox, glad I asked.
