Hi. My 17 year old has ADHD and is struggling at school to the extent that I'm considering him dropping the number of A levels he's doing from 3 to 2 - one an academic subject and the other art. He spends lot of his free time filming dramatic events going on: demonstrations, riots, etc and when I mentioned actually getting paid for this sort of thing, he was interested. He has a natural interest in this sort of thing and it would go well with ADHD methinks as no two days would be the same etc. I've tried to find out how you become a cameraman but it all sound quite conflicting - some places say you don't need qualification and that you become an assistant and learn on the job, other places say you have to go to college and other places say you need a degree. Just wonder if anyone has knowledge of this and whether dropping from 3 A levels to 2 would scupper his chances.
