There's a place on booking.com for £38 Saturday night. How much did you want to pay?

CornishTeaTime · 02/09/2024 22:25

Around £70
Want a decent hotel/chain

I think this is unrealistic nowadays tbh.

I haven't paid less than £100 for a city premier inn for a long time

Disagree Ive stayed in Liverpool at the Aloft, Lenonardo, Hilton, Novotel...and always paid no more than £70
That was midweek though

You are not disagreeing though, you are talking about different hotels on weekdays, so not comparable.

But surely you realise that midweek the prices are going to be considerably cheaper. The prices on booking.com for this Saturday night are totally typical of city centre hotel prices. Especially since you’re only booking with a few days to go and not far in advance.

There is a festival called reminisce on which is located in St Helens which is half an hour from the City Centre. I always thought the majority of people who go are from Liverpool so wouldn't need to stay in hotels.

You won't get that in the city centre on a Saturday night

Well there's your answer.

kitsuneghost · 03/09/2024 13:55

We were £200 for a shit hole on a Saturday night
Hotel prices have shot up and Liverpool seems to be particularly bad.

Rory17384949 · 03/09/2024 14:15

The Adelphi is £99 room only Saturday night

Rory17384949 · 03/09/2024 14:19

Have you looked at travelodge?

The Adelphi isn't the best 🙈. Heard some horror stories.

BeaRF75 · 03/09/2024 14:22

We're back into the football season, when Liverpool hotel prices shoot up at the weekend. You really can't compare with midweek. I'm guessing you'll need to pay at least £150/£200 for a Saturday night.

Tiswa · 03/09/2024 14:24

Not this weekend for football it is international weekend so neither Goodison or Anfield are hosting!

but yes weekend prices for hotels are ridiculous!

mrswhiplington · 03/09/2024 14:58

There is a Radio 2 Party in the Park at Preston this weekend. It's only about an hour away. Might have something to do with it.

Please don’t stay at the Adephi. City centre prices are just high at the weekend. Were off to Manchester this weekend and it’s £120 for a premier inn for a Friday night

I guess you live on the moon. Because there are drugs everywhere. And I am pretty sure there will be drugs where you live. I think people who notice drugs being used are the ones who either take them or have taken drugs 😃

Here we go - like Liverpool is the only place in the world that has drugs. The Liverpool bashing is so boring.

Liverpool has museums, stadia, music halls, history and art galleries, beaches, docks with restaurants and bars and fantastic shopping. It’s a great place to spend a weekend.

@JennyTalia it is full of drugs, less so than birkenhead where I live nowadays, but there is other stuff to do other than ketamin and cocaine. Parts of Liverpool are amazing.

Lwrenn · 03/09/2024 15:09

@JennyTalia calling it a shithole says more about you than Liverpool. Bore off.
