…In a developed country, not somewhere horrific for women like Afghanistan.

@ZippyLimeSnake
Hmm might be interesting but think I would prefer the life of a neutured spoilt cat!

nocoolnamesleft · 02/09/2024 15:11

Hmm. I guess it would be interesting to see the view from the top of the food chain.

Deathraystare · 02/09/2024 15:14

One advantage to being male - easier to pee - you can go in the bushes without peeing on your clothes or having to take them off!

w1ldfl0wer · 02/09/2024 15:14

According to the ONS, men actually report lower life satisfaction than women (in the UK). In addition, ‘Women also tend to score higher on measures of happiness and life purpose, although they may report higher levels of anxiety as well.’

A woman, I love being a woman despite all the shit we have to deal with.

Man please
Nowt special about being a woman just a lot of sexist crap all your life long

And men get to eat more

I'm team woman on my next go but that bit about food almost swung my vote lol!

DeCaray · 02/09/2024 15:18

I'd like to come back as a man just to experience it but I love being a woman so after being a man I would hope to come back again as a woman!

I wouldn't want to be a weedy man though, I'd like a good physique and be handsome!

BruceAndNosh · 02/09/2024 15:21

Can i be a man with insight of what it's like to be a woman? Just to reduce chance of me being a total arse.

TooMuchOfNothingIsJustAsTough · 02/09/2024 15:22

Neither honestly. Being a man or a woman is difficult in different ways that I wouldn't choose for myself.

I'd just be a rock.

Oh god, this made me realise that what I really want is to be biologically a man but "live my life" as a woman. Do I want to be trans?! Or just a well adjusted man in touch with his feminine side and not too competitive?!

I like being a woman because I am a woman, if you see what I mean. It’s familiar and I like the look of my female body, like more stereotypically feminine things than masculine things, like the company of other women much more than men.

But if I was starting from a blank slate I’d absolutely be a man. In particular I would like to experience sex as a man. I have had some good sex in my lifetime, but for men I imagine sex to be a completely transcendent experience on a whole other level, as they are so obsessed with it. I want to experience that!

I don’t believe it’s transcendent at all for men. I think, in general, it’s a big, testosterone-driven, pent up release and ANY port in a storm will do. If men could fuck finger rolls without raising eyebrows, they would. If electric sockets were risk free, they’d fuck those ‘til next week. Men are very basic.

Roselilly36 · 02/09/2024 15:31

Definitely would choose to be a woman again.

Bananaspread · 02/09/2024 15:31

Man without doubt: stronger, taller, less chance of sexual assault. Imagine the freedom to walk alone at night, to travel in remote or developing countries. Amazing. Nowadays men can be deeply involved with their children without any of the downsides that women experience (eg body ruined by pregnancy). It’s a no-brainer imo.

PoodlesRUs · 02/09/2024 15:32

I'm already doing life once. I am NOT doing it a second time!

swirlywoos · 02/09/2024 15:45

I'd come back as a man, I'd make a total mug of my mother, she won't mind, she loves me so I'd get my food cooked and washing done and have her tidy up after me until I found some poor woman to take over her job with the added bonus of sex.
I'd also sleep with anyone who took my fancy and not be called anything derogatory for it.
I'd have a child but do what I please and drink beer while someone else brought them up, then I'd enjoy proud dad moments when they did well.
I'd have a good career because I'd be entitled to one and if I wanted to be a pop star all I'd need is a good singing voice and I could wear a suit and look smart and important and it wouldn't even cross my mind that I should be reduced to my underwear to go on stage.

I like being a woman (caveat - I have never had difficult periods / endometriosis, and have been fortunate enough not to have been abused or harassed by men, so my experience of femaleness has been better than most, sadly).

I’m not greatly enjoying perimenopause, but even so I think I prefer it to what I’ve observed of male middle age, which seems to involve a fuck of a lot of moaning and preoccupation with deeply boring things.

Bunnyhair · 02/09/2024 15:59

I might be a rock too - couldn’t be a cat as I couldn’t stomach cat food and pooing in a stinky box

Sure but don’t you think the reason their standards are often so low is because sex just feels so amazing for them?

Or do you think it’s more that they feel intolerably frustrated if they don’t get sex, rather than it being about really enjoying sex itself?

I think it’s a bit of both, personally. The frustration would be hard to deal with. However I can’t think of anything in life I want so badly that I’d do some of the stupid, immoral, dangerous things men do to get sex. I assume that must be at least a little bit about their enjoyment of the act itself.

ChipsCheeseAndGravey · 02/09/2024 16:05

Life would be easier if I was a man but the thought of being a man makes me want to rip my skin off. I don’t care, I’ll take the period cramps, child birth, being physically weaker. The thought of not being a woman is horrible to me. If I could pick anything though I would want to be a female cat who is doted on by her loving owners, preferably somewhere a bit sunny. That’s the dream life.

LoudHam · 02/09/2024 16:10

WOMAN! I am shocked by these replies. I have 2 daughters and a son and whilst the daughters are not in any way similar to each other, they both have about a million times more sass and confidence than my poor son! I conclude women are naturally just far superior. Now we just need to work on dismantling the entire structure of society.

Have you mentioned to your son that you’ve concluded his sisters are far superior to him?

Yep...or possibly being abused by humans or being chased by dogs or feral cats who want to harm you. Life as an animal also has its difficulties and possibilities that I wouldn't choose either.

Oh yes, I totally agree with everything you’ve written and you’re right, it’s both! You’ve nailed it perfectly! I honestly think I’d be too scared to be a man. I think they live with this kind of background buzz of agitation… tinnitus of the balls! 😆
I think it’s the frustration that gets them into trouble. Boredom too. I think men get quite bored and frustrated quite easily. I think having male anatomy would really get on my nerves… it would be like having an attention seeking toddler as a conjoined twin, demanding bowls of dry cheerios at all hours then throwing them everywhere, smashing up ceramic. I’d just want to detach it and put it up for adoption. Which reminds me of a song from the 90s called Detachable Penis. Ridiculous.😆

I would love to be a man for a day just to see what it felt like but then I would swap back.
