I can't make a decision! Got a free afternoon and fancy mooching about cooking a bit

Options are
Lasagne
Beef stew
Chicken and mushroom pie
Cottage pie

Batch cook and freeze? Then you have something for rest of week/ month?
My favourite from your list is Cottage pie and Chicken and Mushroom pie.

The pie sounds nice.

Oh yeah, I live alone so I'll be making 6 portions of whatever I cook and freezing it!

Got a free afternoon, it's pouring down and seems the perfect time to get some done

I'm making cottage pie with green beans on the side. It's drizzly and miserable here. Typical last day of the hols.

It's been raining so hard here! Feels like a good autumn cooking day, I enjoy it if I don't have anything else to do

I'd do a big batch of Bolognese/ragu and use some of it for lasagne(s) but also parcel up some of it in smaller portions and have it was pasta / jacket potatoes whenever you want

workworkwork123 · 02/09/2024 13:38

Chicken and mushroom sounds good!

spikeandbuffy24 · 02/09/2024 14:19

I've gone for chicken mushroom and leek but with mash on to use up the potatoes and lasagne as well!

Lasagne sounds good - the rest are wintery and we may have a nice spell of weather yet and lasagne good with salad.

spikeandbuffy24 · 02/09/2024 15:55

One lasagne done

What should I cook today?

Thank you for your thread. I was wondering what to cook & wanted something that feeds adult DS & I tonight & tomorrow. Cottage pie fits the bill nicely.
