Passports question

Peony6 · 02/09/2024 12:24

Hi there, I need to renew my passport and get a first passport for my 2 children. Realistically do you think I'm ok to do it in late October if I need them mid December? Thanks

Why risk it? Apply ASAP, surely?

Your renewal is likely to be fine, replaced mine in June, applied on Monday with digital photos and got my new one Thursday.

I wouldnt chance it with a first application.

Why wait? Better to get the process started then run it to the line. I'd prioritise the children as yours is an adult renewal as opposed to first timers.

I renewed my expired passport (plus a name change due to marriage) and got both my children their first passport earlier this year. None of them took more than two weeks from start of application to receiving the passports. Six weeks should be fine i would have thought.

Thanks all. That's good to know. I was holding off for budget reasons but I'll perhaps just bite the bullet.
