Seeking recommendations for a lovely birthday breakfast/brunch in London

It’s my DH’s 40th next month so we’re going to London to see a show on the Saturday- we’ve already got plans for that day sorted but I’d like treat him to a really special breakfast or brunch on the Sunday before we head home. We’re staying near Charing X and getting the train from there so would ideally be round Soho, Cov Gdn, St James, South Bank, maybe up to Mayfair or Aldwych but probably not further than that. We’ve already been to Sketch so not there. I’m out of the London loop these days so all suggestions greatly appreciated!

The breakfast at the Wolseley is fantastic.

Agree, The Wolseley is lovely

I have researched this (for something else) but not done any of them. Duck & Waffle in a skyscraper looks good but might be too far out?

The restaurant in the National Portrait Gallery does a nice brunch

I second the Wolseley and I have actually had that one

The Breakfast Club (various branches) looks amazing to me but it isn't really posh. Is it just a London thing or a National chain?

Caravan in London Bridge is supposed to be good.

It's maybe not special enough, but Dishoom do a fabulous breakfast. It's really very nice.

@BigDahliaFan
Dishoom looks good and love the descriptions!

Sunday’s In Brooklyn - just opened a second one up near Bond Street.

Otherwise I would suggest the Wolseley

Brown's on St Martin's Lane does a good brunch
