Need suggestion for wide rugby boots for DS. School shoes are Doc Martens size 8......

He is going into Y8 and U13s. He Will play 2-3 x a week with school and 1-2 x pw with a local Club.

All the rugby boots we have at home (DH coaches) are too small despite DS feet being smaller than DHs.

Measured feet today to get school shoes. Size 8 (same as DH shoes so a whole size bigger than how DS feet measure up).
fitter suggested he is a G fitting.
So wide......
And clearly wider than his father.....

Help! Links would be helpful as I'm running out of time to find these boots in time for the new term!!!

TIA

We (Year 8 girl with Wide feet) found Kooga fit well

We tend to use M&M direct

I agree that Kooga are a good bet.

Large Sports Directs shops have a range to try on which is helpful.

Kooga are fairly wide fit but don't last. OK fir once a week at school but the soles tear off really quickly. Some styles of Canterbury are wide - if you can get to an independent sport shop (the kind that provides kit for private schools) you will get lots of choice. Sports direct only have 3 or 4 different ones in my experience (loads of football boots though!)

Thanks! Will see if we can find one of those independent sports shops locally.....
