Following another current thread, which touched on The Herbs (Parsley the Lion, Lady Rosemary and Dill The Dog etc..) I would like to ask posters if they identify with the places where their childhood characters lived?
I think Trumpton was like Osmotherley, Burnham Market or Stow-on-the-Wold. They don't do the tea dances there anymore. But there is still a hat shop in Burnham Market.
Captain Pugwash was from Penzance I reckon. I saw some of his crew members there earlier this year. In trainers and baggy tea shirts, vaping though. They look the same, but with short grey hair above the ears.
