EasyJet Boarding Passes saying we have no Hold Luggage

I booked flights for a trip to Germany for me and DP a few weeks ago. I was very careful to book us both an item of hold luggage and an item of hand luggage. We've just checked in online and it was really confusing. Every second screen seemed to say we had booked and paid for both hold and hand luggage and every second screen seemed to say we hadn't. We definitely have but now the boarding passes have been downloaded they're saying we don't have any hold luggage. It seems I haven't checked in the hold luggage because it looked like they were asking me if wanted to pay for it when I'd already paid for it. Can I cancel our check in and checkin again so we don't have to pay for the hold luggage twice?

Yes - it shows we paid for both but it seems we haven't checked them in as it looked like it was going to make us pay again...

There are staff their that can override the machine but If not I would just pay and claim it back on my credit card if they do not refund you easily I wouldn’t stress your holiday out over it .

The best way is to go to My Bookings and check all the details of your ticket : cabin bags, hold bags (and their weight), seat number etc. . It should all be set out there.
I am a frequent EJ user and find that it doesn't say you have hold baggage on the Boarding Pass. There is a suitcase symbol with a down arrow that I assume indicates you have a case for the Bag Drop.
It is confusing as, during the check-in process, you are offered to buy more or heavier luggage, large cabin bags etc. But if you look carefully, the options you have already purchased are shown right next to the upgrades (which you can ignore).

When you check in, your luggage and all options are checked in too. There is not a separate process. I think the constant offering of more bags etc may be confusing you.

I think they do it deliberately to try and make you pay twice, I know what you mean about how confusing it is! Maybe it's because if you booked one bag rather than per person it's not on the boarding card.

Yes, I thought it was them trying to make us pay twice. I don't know if we need to book in again or if we just go with the passes we've got which specifically state that we have no hold luggage when we do? We paid for 2 bags each but the boarding pass says we both just have cabin luggage.

So do we have to change our boarding pass now or do we just show up with it and our hold bags as well as our cabin bags?

As long as you have proof (email confirmation) that you paid for hold luggage then don't stress and just show them the email

Ah, thank you. We'll try to just rock up and hope they let us check in our hold bags. What a nightmare though. Such a small thing for them to fix but that causes immense stress and frustration!

I had exactly the same experience with my booking….was ready to pay for my cases again! But I found If you download the app and then look at “my bookings” then “my itinerary “ you should have a section called Flight Extras. Under hold luggage there should be a little orange dot and then it should show the detail of your hold luggage (kgs allowed).

I think there is a problem with their system and how it displays prebooked luggage as we had the same problem last month. We checked everything at the airport and everything was correct at their end, it just showed up differently on the app.

I found this when I booked with easy jet, I eventually found it but it wasn't obvious, must be an issue with their website or something. I wouldn't worry at all.
