How Old Would You Say Someone “ Elderly “ Is?

I was shocked to read a review online that described ladies in their 50s or 60s as elderly! It wasn’t possible to comment otherwise I would have posted a stiff objection! I would say late 70s or into the 80s is more like it! I’m 58 & definitely wouldn’t describe myself as elderly!

I don't think i'd consciously think of anyone under 80 as elderly. And i'm in my 30's.

75 and up

Elderly - 85 plus at least.
But that’s only my experience. My sisters are in their 70s and probably act like they’re in their 50s.
I’m 60 and feel mid 40s.
We’re all young in our ways, our parents were the same.
There is definately thing, particularly amongst the youngsters, for calling anyone over 50 ‘the elderly’ 🥴
It’s abit insulting tbh, but then they’re young so we must seem old 🤷🏻‍♀️ they’ll learn.
