Gigs and U14s

DCs desperate to see Oasis. Desired venue is Manchester as we can stay with family and walk to the venue but it's all standing and no U14s. DC1 will be 17 by then DC2 will be less than 2 weeks from 14.

Aware its going to be 80k people, we aren't intending on going anywhere near the front, we just want to go and see the band we love. We haven't been to a no U14s gig for years, does anyone know how strict they are on this? It's a matter of days. I'm trying to weigh up risks!

I would have thought you’d get away with it. They didn’t id my 14 year old at Taylor Swift (we took passport just in case)
my 12 year old wants to see oasis but he hasn’t even had a glimpse of puberty yet so got no chance unless we get seats at Wembley.

Thank you. He's skinny but strong and people only query his age if he is standing next to DC1 who is over 6ft.

The logical side of my head thought exactly what you said but the fear is strong....

probably worrying for nothing, absolutely zero chance of us actually getting bloody tickets

It totally depends.

I've been to gigs with loads of kids getting IDd and kicked out (sometimes they will move them to seated if available, but I doubt oasis will have available seating) and I've been to others where they clearly don't bother.

Does your son look older? Is he quite tall?

He's about 5ft2 ish now so about average height among peers etc. I think he'll be around my height (5ft7) by this time next year.

He's moody as sin, sweaty and giving off that vibe of being a roast dinner and a good night's sleep away from a growth spurt...
