Anyone about who has had a gastric sleeve for 3+ years?

I have a question.
I had a sleeve in 2021 and all has been well if I do the things I should.

I'm having an issue lately where after eating I need the toilet and it comes on with a sudden onset and immediate urgency.

Twice in the last week I've thought I was going to have an accident in the car as a passenger.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Dumping syndrome is a known side effect of bariatric surgery. While it usually occurs within a few months of surgery, in some cases it can manifest after a few years. Contact your bariatric team to discuss management.

I had dumping syndrome prior to surgery, about a year before. Didnt need the loo but nearly passed out after eating some potatoes after being very low carb for a while. Thought I was going to collapse in the street.

OP, is it after certain foods, Ive read about people getting digestive issues without a gallbladder due to bile non production or not being dealt with properly?

I get dumping syndrome after sugar so I try to avoid it.

The first day it was a vegetable curry pasty and the 2nd time it was some chicken and fries.

Both toilet incidences about an hour after.

I don't have a team anymore, my surgery was years ago.

Did you go private, my provider says Im a patient for life so although they have now ended their formal check ins with me, I can contact them any time for support?

I suppose ultimately its an assumption that its dumping syndrome, it can also be a number of other things, bile issues, diverticulitis etc, so best hget it checked out and dont let the GP just make a lazy assumption its dumping syndrome

I get very dizzy and ill if I eat too much sugar, worse example was I had a hot chocolate during a car journey and then a piece of cake at a garden centre. I dont know what possessed me. I cant eat or drink sitting down crunched up in a car seat anyway, so why I did that I have no idea and then not content with the sugar in the hot chocolate I then have some cake, it wasnt very much but it was enough to make me feel drunk. Awful.

Yes I get the issue with he sugar too but apart from that I've been totally fine.

It's was 2 incidence 3 days apart so DH pointed out I could just have a bit of a tummy bug.

So if a 3rd incident happens I will go to the GP.
