Best tips for migraine

Every month (thanks period!). I get a headache/migraine. I take painkillers, but it still takes a couple of days to get better. Anyone have any tips to help it go away sooner please? I have also tried cold packs which is help in the short term.

I've got some aspirin today
Did my injection last night and slept with one of those cold patches on my head which seemed to help
Ended up eating salt and vinegar discos at 4am!

If I need to be anywhere, I'll basically have a cocktail of paracetamol, ibuprofen & aspirin, a pint of water with electrolytes & a can of coke. Somehow the combo sometimes makes a difference.

If I can stay home, sumatriptan (it knocks me out so I can't take it if I'm working).

Yes please let us know! I was highly skeptical and didn't really know/believe anything about acupressure. I'd love to know if it helps

(And what cute jewelry you go for after it healed)

@HeadacheEarthquake Well as promised I’ve come back to say I had the piercing in my left ear and it seems to have changed and lessened my headaches rather than eliminate them completely. Instead of pounding and throbbing on one side when I get a headache, I now have a sort of dull tingling over the front of my head almost like when your sinuses are blocked. They are no way near as bad as they were and definitely not as frequent and I haven’t had to dose myself up with pills and lie in a dark room anymore. So far so good 🤞

Sumatriptan and anadin extra are the only things that work for me.

The only thing that cures mine are vomitting, banana milkshake and fries with painkillers. Sounds gross - but my DH knows when to go past McDonald's once in a while!
