How long after a minor op to avoid exercise for?

I had a minor op this week (mole removal from my foot, done under local anaesthetic) and was told quite conflicting things by different doctors / nurses about how long to avoid exercise for. Answers varied from 1 to 3 weeks. I usually run 4-5 times a week and I’m going a bit stir crazy already - when can I start running again, or does it just depend on how well the wound seems to be healing?

I had a mole removed off my back and went for a run about 4 days after the op. No problems. It may be different if it's your foot though.

You'll get conflicting answers on here too. The best answer would probably be to see how it heals then give it a few more days once it seems well healed to be sure. You could do arm work while waiting.
