KitchenAid part and customer service rant!

What can I do next in my boring quest to fix this kitchen aid?

In January 2022 I bought a kitchenaid coffee machine the drip type filter machine from Amazon currently they are £179 I paid a bit less.

All fine its great sturdy workhorse looks good. Used daily. Nice thing to own. Bought with Amazon voucher so for for Xmas and birthday.

I crack the carafe washing it. I try and buy a spare thinking it would be straightforward but none on eBay Amazon espares all the usual places or on kitchen website so I email them. I get asked a million questions and give my name address serial number model
Number date of purchase etc and find the reciepts. .

First reply "we cannot sell you a replacement"

I reply asking them to elaborate

"It´s a product that exists in the listing but is not available,
and unfortunately there is no indication on future availability."

What does this even mean. Confused

Sure a glass carafe should be an easily replaceable part. I'm so sad to dispose of it -it's unsustainable and such waste of resources.

I bought a cheap delonghi but feel that I should raise this further with I kitchen aid.

What should I do next?

It means that they don't make it any more so they don't have any they can sell you.

There isn't really anything they can do then.

They really are the pits, aren't they? I bought one of their blenders a few years ago and the goblet cracked while it was still in warranty. They agreed to replace it but it was out of stock and they couldn't give me any indication of when it might come back in. It did eventually arrive, over six months later. I will never buy anything of theirs again, which is a shame as my mixer which I've had for 20 years is a real work horse and still going strong (jinxed it now, haven't I!?)

Thank you for letting me rant and being kind to me!

@1000umbrellas I also have a mixer and it's also great

I suppose it's headed for the recycling yard!

I'm also not a KA fan, I had 5 espresso machines replaced, they all leaked internally after a couple of months. I gave up in the end and put the replacement on fleabay.

Personally, I wouldn't buy another one of their products.
