Do more expensive sunglasses protect your eyes better

Google tells me that they do - any suggestions on which ones I should get? We've just been away somewhere very sunny and I was very close to getting migraines from the sun.

Surely it's the amount of protection they give you that you need to look for not the price tag?

They all say what sun protection they give.
