Anyone bought the luxury range? DD off to Uni and we are on a budget. It feels nice but wouldn't want to buy one without knowing feedback!

I got the pillows in that range and they have gone lumpy and misshapen pretty quickly

What's your budget? Lots of the duvets in all togs and sizes are 30% and 40% off right now in M&S which would get you a very good quality one for a reasonable price.

Poundstretcher have duvets in their summer sale

5NightsAtFreddies · 28/08/2024 20:33

Sorry not the duvets but the pillows are lush. I’ve had everything from John Lewis down feather to these. They all go the same way in the end so I am happy with these

Thanks everyone. Budget is about £30-40.

She's going to halls so single beds but I'll get her a double to save me re-buying next year.

If the budget allows, I'd get a king size duvet and duvet cover. It makes a single bed feel like an absolute nest as you can fold it in half and lie on one half with the other half serving as the duvet. I have a single bed in my work digs and I've turned my bed into a retreat with my KS duvet and brushed cotton bedding

Have you tried tkmaax?

Overtheatlantic · 28/08/2024 21:11

Duvet or duvet cover? Honestly please get her the best you can afford otherwise she will be cold and miserable.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 28/08/2024 21:16

Have you looked at Ikea? DS both have those (not at uni) and they’re great

MaidOfSteel · 28/08/2024 21:18

Slumberdown's Chilly Night's range in 15tog is reasonably priced; nice & thick, good value for money. We got ours on Amazon.

Asda are well priced. We bought duvet, pillows and duvet covers from there

MrsCarson · 28/08/2024 22:03

We got a decent duvet with a cotton outer fabric as we have had no luck with the cheap ones with that woven easily ripped stuff on. It's going back for year two next month. On sale at Dunelm.
But the pillows were on sale in Asda and the bedding sets were clearance from Dunelm the duvet cover and pillow cases ended up cheaper than I'd looked at in Aldi and Home bargains.
We also got towels on clearance from Asda. Nice and thick large bath towels and a couple of hand towels.
