Middle name for Patrick?

We prefer traditional names! My husband isn’t keen on George & we can’t have Alexander due to other family names

I meant to type Jonah if you can't use Joeseph.

Looks like one syllable (James, Lloyd) or 3 or syllables (William, Christopher) are winning.

ButIsItArt · 30/08/2024 08:38

Joseph ffs....🙄

MaidOfSteel · 30/08/2024 08:46

Jeremy, Andrew, James, William or David would all sound great with Patrick.

The following always work well as middle names:

  • von
  • de

For example, Patrick von Straubenzee?

Maybe, Patrick de Walden?

But it depends on what your surname is. What is it really? Otherwise:

  • Patrick von YourBusyTurtle? Well that does not sound too good....

But if you tweak it a bit, it might work:

  • Patrick von Urbuzee de Totale. This sounds very Swiss/ Italian. Might work !! Smells of lovely money and castles.

Or maybe:

  • Patrick de Windsor-Turtle?

It sounds of rich farming, landowning dynasties. Rich enough to toboggan down the family stairs in a soup ladle. A silver one.

Patrick John Joseph as a Sunday name.

Paddy John Joe on other days?

Sorry. It was at my spelling of Joseph after spelling Jonah wrong earlier in thread

I think the ffs got separated from Joesrph or whatever mangled spelling I wrote by an ad.

forgot to add we can’t have Joseph either as that is my BIL name! Love the combination though x

I don’t see why that would stop you from using the name Joseph.
