Jury duty excusing?

I deferred once as I was pregnant and the date given was 2 weeks before my due date

They’ve wrote again, but my youngest baby is still ebf and my eldest is only in nursery 2 days a week so 3 days (weekdays) I don’t have childcare

I’ve wrote back explaining this but as I can’t defer would they excuse me as I assume I can’t bring a 8 month old baby and then a toddler (some days) ???

The ebf would hopefully be a good reason to be deferred or excused. Childcare isn't always - I had two in nursery 3 days a week when I did it and had to arrange extra childcare.

I've just done mine with a 10month old, but my paperwork said I could excuse (not defer) in the first year after a birth. I was originally asked when my little one was 3 months old, so I deferred and had to give dates that suited me.

Ah is this the case? As I know people say you’re expected to arrange childcare

but I didn’t expect to be breastfeeding this long (she does have food too as she’s weaning) that’s why I deferred when they asked when pregnant

but but I did think I can’t bring her with me

You definitely can't bring her with you, and they can't work to her schedule. I'm pretty sure breast feeding would allow a deferral if not stopping it.
In terms of childcare, I think not having it isn't enough of a reason to be excused. We were given forms to claim costs for extra childcare required etc.
