Hilights VS full bleach

I have naturally light brown hair. I never really longed to have blonde hair however I really love fashion and full colours in hair. This year I took my first step towards that. I showed my hairdresser an inspo picture and I got a dip dye type of result with some scattered hi lights. I really love my colour. That was a few months ago and it's growing out now.

I am booked in for more highlights for later on in September.

I long to get a full bleach and colour from what I have. I would love it. But then I read online that it's very high maintenance with a root touch up required every 4-6 weeks and I know myself I won't be able for that.

I am wondering if highlights is the best option for me.

But then I see so many lovely heads of head online with fashion and fun colours and I really long to be that way.

I wonder if it's too late to contact my hairdresser and change the service perhaps to a full bleach.

Is highlights better for the hair? I do want to focus on hair health and length too.

You can go quite blonde just with highlights. I have highlights and sometimes add in some lowlights so it's not all the one colour

Thank you for your lovely message.

I would love to go for a full bleach but I know myself I won't be able to maintain the roots. My life and schedule and everything else. Even over the past day so much crap thrown at me from every direction.

I will remain with hilights.
