that have actually worked?

I only recently read on here about using a hot teaspoon to alleviate the insane itch from a mosquito bite.
I tried this last night, and not only did the itch stop but the bite site has all but disappeared this morning.
Husband is genuinely impressed by MN 😄

I bought a set of 4 giant plastic clothes pegs (the sort you use for stopping beach towels blowing away) for changing duvet covers single handed. Bottom corners of duvet into corners, secure with pegs, top corners ditto, give a good shake, done. They cost about £3.50 from Amazon.

I have those. They live in my suitcase with my adapters, wre anti mosquito plug in and my basic travel kit. I would rather them in there as it means I have them while away.

I could buy more, but honestly, california roll method means they are unnecessary. As said right at the beginning, it is about the same speed, but is less effort. And you never get a corner wrong.

I can (hopefully) top this for you:

You do not need to make a roux for your white sauce - you can skip this step.
Butter, milk and flour into the pan all together, then heat gently whilst stirring until it's thickened. Boil for a few minutes, then reduce and add cheese.

I just heat milk then mix cornflour with a little water & whisk into the hot milk to thicken, no butter needed. Then reduce heat and add your grated cheese, doesn't taste any different

Remembered another. Dove soap for hands to stop them drying out if you have to wash them a really lot!! And also for the nether regions as doesn't make for thrushy flaps like other soap does ( in my house anyway)

I now use diluted car screen wash to clean my windows and all mirrors in the house.
So much better than window and glass cleaners and way cheaper.

Leaving lasagna to settle for 15 mins before serving…it doesn’t fall apart and stays layered !

Just utilised another tip from here.
Ordering name stickers for uniform -
Type your child's name in twice
So for example - first row

BOB BOB

second row

JONES JONES

Cut in half to use! Genius I thought.
Obviously won't work if the name is
ANASTASIA-NEVAEH BARRINGTON SOAMES or similar.
