Wanted to explore and maybe convert to a religion that wasn't your own?

TBH I'd be worried they were being groomed.

It would depend on how old they are, why this religion and where they got those thoughts from ie what are they watching/engaging with on social media? I would ask a lot of questions and see if they are thinking for themselves or just regurgitating someone else's script, does it sound like my child or the words of someone else? I would ask them to show me who they are influenced by and where they got their information. I have children but they are adults so that would be very different to a 10 or 12 year old coming up with these thoughts.

I'd be concerned about them becoming involved in any religion whatsoever.

It would really depend what the religion was.

I wouldn't be happy, religion is toxic in my opinion. Something to keep well away from.

Personally, I wouldn't be happy but would be very cautious about pushing them away. I wouldn't be negative about it to them in case it made them more secretive about their beliefs / religious rituals.
