Remembered why I hate Facebook Marketplace - is there an alternative?

This weekend I made a start of sorting out the huge pile of "old stuff" that we have accumulated over the years - a mixture of clothes, games, books, household items etc.

The clothes can go on Vinted; this is fine.

I put a few things up on FB Marketplace, and am now reminded of why I hate it.
I have a lot of posters asking if it is still available (fine) who never come back once I say it is.

I've put the items up for collection only and put the area I live in, in the description. For context, this is an area about half a mile square. I still get lots of people just saying "postcode, please?" And then they never come back again.

People who put "???" if you haven't responded within an hour.

But the really annoying ones are people who send you a series of one line messages and you have no idea whether they are really interested or not.

I am frazzled already and I have still not sold a thing.

Is there a better place to sell things, or a way of filtering out the timewasters?

I feel your pain, I was selling a car seat recently. Swamped with messages everyday but no one actually bought it until 4 weeks later. Draining! Try eBay? There's a pick up only option so you wouldn't have to post any large items.

I find there are fewer time wasters on gumtree
