Can I return these socks?

I can't get to the shop until Wednesday so just asking out of curiosity...
Bought a 2 pack of Sweaty Betty ankle gripper socks. When I tried one on it's way too tight on my fat ankles
I only took off the plastic tag holding the socks together and tried one sock on. The other pair and the remaining sock are still flat together and I have all of the cardboard packaging.
Do you think they will refund me?

Possibly no. Can you cut the elastic instead??? I have to do this on most of my socks

It's going to depend on the shop's returns policy. They don't have to accept a return since the socks aren't faulty. I would call to check first.
If they had been bought online it would be different, but you have fewer rights when you can examine the goods before buying.

Thanks. Socks are tricky though as you can't try them on in store.

SB customer service is amazing from my personal experience. Ask them - you should get positive response
