What to do while signed off for 2 weeks ?

I had an op. I'm not bed bound/immobile. I can drive after a week. I do need to take it steady ie no exercise for 4 weeks.

What to do ?

I don't do reading/knitting/crosswords or puzzles etc. There is only so much baking that I can attempt. I have always kept the house decluttered.

If I wasn't poorly/post-op then there would be tons to do indoors - painting/deep clean/shampoo carpets/deep clean car.

Has anyone got any ideas ?

Air dry clay is great if that appeals to you. No preparation or specialist equipment required - you can become very immersed in it. It's a calming thing to do - requires focus but also doesn't matter if it doesn't work out how you intended.

Indoor gardening - terrariums, bonsai, house plants garden, a nice little project that most people don't normally have the time for.

Can you walk? I was in a similar position lately and did a lot of walking outdoors.
Daytime cinema?
Don't know what profession you're in but maybe some free online courses?

I would say deep cleaning and painting probably comes under exercise. You have to move stuff and put some effort into it.

You're off sick. Be sick. Watch some TV. Sit in the garden if it's nice out.

I've had operations. Proper rest and pain management for the first few days pays dividends in time of recovery. If you rest properly for first week, you'll likely be at almost 100% by that point. Push yourself to deep clean a car on day 2 and you'll still be niggling 4 weeks down the line.
