Are posters on walls a thing of the past

As a teenager my bedroom wall was covered in posters, is this still a thing now with teenagers? I don’t know many teenagers myself but I’m wondering whether the fact they look at phones rather than read magazines, where would they get posters from.

DD's room is covered with posters. Like several DCs mentioned on here, her posters are manga/anime/mostly retro bands, and she is also very arty, so maybe these are the people who decorate with posters. She downloads posters and prints them out - she has an app that breaks down posters into sections to print out on A3 or A4 and then you reassemble them into one large poster.

My kids had/have some posters but mainly they prefer framed prints of singers/bands/films/games. The posters and framed prints they have look far better than the ones from magazines back in the day.

They read a mix of actual books and kindle books.

I used to spend hours in Athena flicking through all the posters. I also used to put up all the posters from Smash Hits totally indiscriminately, if it was in the mag it went up! I remember one was even of the cast of Home & Away 😂

dd 14 is nostalgic, likes to watch movies from the 90s and 2000s which I think largely influenced her putting up posters on her wall, she says she wants to fill it up. She literally just sticks them with tape x

My twins are 20, they've got a mixture of posters from gigs and festivals/photos of friends/posters of places they've travelled to and arty ones from online places like desinio. Their friends' uni rooms that I've seen look the same.

One reads a range of stuff , the other doesn't as Dyslexia makes it hard work and so they save reading for required uni stuff. Some of their friends are madly into reading, some aren't.

My oldest has posters, set lists, art cards/signed pictures from inside albums (one she bought on cassette for the smaller card!), posters from magazines, and a Minecraft poster from HMV that she has had up for years! Oh...there are a couple of promo stickers up there too, now I think about it. The backs haven't been peeled, she uses blu-tack to stick them up.

She re-designs the wall after every gig where she acquires something from the artist, or every purchase where there's an art card inside.

Dd2 doesn't have anything like that. All her pictures/confetti are stashed in a nice box she likes to look through.
