I'm a simple girl at heart and I have just 4 pillows, a duvet in cover, mattress protector then fitted sheet on top.
In deepest darkest winter, I may also get out the huge White Company bedspread that was a wedding present once upon a time.
I've been to friends houses where they have multiple cushions and a throw, and even pillow shams.

What's on yours?

I’ve stripped it right back to the same as you, OP. Can’t be faffed with coverlets and throw cushions any more, they only end up on the floor.

What’s a pillow sham?
We just have duvet, pillows and the cat on our bed.

I’m the same - I don’t like too much “stuff” around me and love the simplicity of crisp, clean bedding. When staying in hotels, the additional, unnecessary cushions get punted immediately. I guess it’s an aesthetic that people enjoy, but it’s not for me.

Duvet, 4 pillows, couple of teddies, a cushion or two and a throw because of the cats on the bed.

I treated mesen to a mattress topper to make it softer. Then a fitted sheet, duvet and a throw... Which isn't a throw but an old sleeping bag that's open.. it's for the dog to sleep on. (Useful admits water resistant and hair don't stick.)
Only 2 pillows for me.

I also have a dog almost permanently attached to the bed... 🤣

in winter when it's REALLY cold then a 'top layer' My perfect weight/heat option last winter was a Teddy blanket. But I have a variety to choose from - from very light blankets to a thermal lined heavy bed cover

I'm separated and I've changed my room to suit me, and it's where I do my yoga, and (horror of horrors) I have a TV on the dressing table.

So I have duvet, bedspread, four pillows then one body pillow (long). Mix of feathers and memory foam fillings. I sleep between thin sheets on top when the weather is warm. I currently have my yoga bolster in the bed as it's a nice knee support. I confess I sometimes also (for short periods) sit on it on the bed in (near) splits as part of my stretching routine while watching TV.

I also have a fabric bear, that my aunt made for me around 30 years ago, on the bed. Also a tiny fabric pillow, for the eyes, with lavender, in the same fabric as the bolster.

Mattress cover, leccy blanket, fitted sheet and duvet. This year, I've gone from four to two pillows - neither of us were using the second pillow. I've never really understood the point of dressing a bed. I can see the point of a top sheet, but have never bothered.

During the day the clean washing gets dumped on there too.

Mattress topper, 4 pillows, duvet and a fat orange cat. All for me alone.

Whichever duvet I’m not sleeping under, with mattress topper over it, sheet, duvet in cover, 2 pillows & at least 1 cat. And a giant blanket that I crocheted a few years ago folded across the bottom, it’s rarely cold enough for me to need to pull it up but it works really well as a cat hiding / lurking place.

Wonderful, cats are fab!

During the day, a large cat on a white duvet covered with grubby paw prints.

In winter there’s a wool blanket on top of the duvet because the heating doesn’t work very well.

During the day, 3 cats - one black and two ginger/white
at night...4 dogs - a bichon, a pug and 2 pug x shih tzu's

Mine 🙈🙈🙈 I love a well-dressed bed (and have storage space to put everything in at night).

Just regular bedding, couple of cats and a dog, the fancy pillow block that goes between my knees to help my arthritic hip. In theory there is also a beautiful throw, crocheted in soft pastel ice cream colours, made from yarn chosen to be warm but ultra light and machine washable (see above, 2 cats and a dog) In actual fact the throw is currently about 3 inches wide, chucked behind the sofa in despair. I swear if I just think about adding a row one of the GCs will sure to need a cardigan or new shorts or some adapted clothing for the latest sports injury

black cat who’s always curled up asleep 😍

A 10 tog duvet, 5 pillows, a throw blanket, a 5 year old and a dog. Think I saw a toy helicopter in there as well.
