Biro pen got caught in a wash cycle

You guessed it and has left a fuck ton of stains on my laundry! Luckily and weirdly, only the duvet cover is badly affected, the pillow case has a couple of spots but everything else - T-shirts, trousers, towel, shorts, socks, underwear are clean!

At the moment, it is sitting in a bath tub with cold water having scrubbed the many stains with Vanish stick. I don't hold much hope to getting it all out when I put it in the machine tomorrow, but what else can I try? I've got some old cheap hairspray which I read worked for some people, so I will try that.

Dr Beckmann Stain devils. One is for pen. I've managed to get biro marks out of a pencil case and off clothing with it.

I'd just scrub washing up liquid into the stains and rinse out with cold water then wash as normal. If it's a duvet cover and pillow cases then they're still usable and no-one will see it.

Was it a bic pen? That ink just doesn't wash off.
Hopefully it's not but try hairspray if nothing else works

To be honest, I'd just chuck the biro and pick up another one at the bank / postoffice. They've got loads of them - so many they have to actually chain them down!

No, not Bic but some cheap brand biro.

I was slightly successful with alcohol hand gel when I washed a pen.
When I sat on an unlidded pen - not a biro but almost like a writing felt pen, thanks to DS, in my white trousers, it was so badly stained I had to throw them as I couldn't make any inroads and just spread it all around
