'Old school' films my teens will enjoy

Having a family movie night tomorrow. Girls are 13 and 15.

Any suggestions for classic ("old school") movies we could all enjoy?

Thinking something like Labyrinth (seen lots of times!).

The kind of stuff we would have watched in the 90s/naughties.

Already watched Dirty Dancing, Grease, Back to the Future etc.

We've seen a small number of these but loads to try.

Think we'll try The Breakfast Club Smile

Mermaids! One of my absolute favourites with Cher

See no evil, hear no evil.

I also love Stir Crazy but that’s a bit older.

Some Kind of Wonderful

TheMildManneredMilitant · 25/08/2024 21:29

Legally Blonde, Clueless and Mean Girls are all much-loved favourites in this house. Or depending on the teen/parent combo - The Great Outdoors, Ghostbusters, Planes Trains and Automobiles, and National Lampoons Vacation (original).

go real old school, like old Disney

Ol Yeller (warn them maybe that it doesn't end well.....)

The Incredible Journey (the Disney one is great, but the second version with Michael J Fox voicing one of the dogs is good too, but completely different.)
