Parking for Birmingham Hippodrome

I'm taking my daughter to the theatre this week, for her birthday and wondered where most people park for the hippodrome? They have a few recommended car parks on the website but I want to go where most people will be milling along to.

We usually try to park in the Arcadian car park. It's very close, just a 5 min walk and you can pre pay you parking when you get there so you don't have to queue to pay when you leave. I think it's £9 for the evening.

Arcadian would be my suggestion too and I would say get there a bit early, not at 6:45 as you will struggle for space.

Thank you. Is that where most theatre goers will park? I'm very scared of the dark and i want to be with people if i can. In hindsight i should have booked a matinee!

Another vote for the Arcadian. It's an easy walk 3- 4 minutes through a well lit area- restaurants etc- and the car park itself is very well lit and unthreatening. And well used.

Yes I think so, it's the nearest big carpark and the area is very busy.

Definitely get there early though as it does fill up.

I've only recently realised there is a lower level after parking there for years, I thought it was bizarrely small for where it is.

Just in case it not obvious rather than me just being stupid, you have to go past where the up ramp is and then suddenly a down ramp appears and there's loads more spaces down there.

Have a lovely evening!

Ha! We always head straight down to the lower floor @CornedBeef451 . Don't tell too many people about it thoughGrin

Definitely Arcadian. Go early and get some food nearby - recommend Cafe Soya.

Definitely the Arcadian. Used by lots of theatre goers so lots of people about. You may have to queue to both pay at the end annd get out but you will feel safe and many others will be doing the same. You can pay for parking on an app which cuts down the queuing at the end. Also a foodie area for pre theatre eating.
