DDs earring broke, pierced 5 weeks ago

Hello, my dd15 had her ears pierced at the end of term. Her earring broke last night, I can’t seem to fix it. As it’s a BH weekend, the tattoo/piercing places are not open til Tuesday. Would I be able to replace the earring with another without it sealing up straight away? Sounds odd, but I had mine done as a baby and haven’t worn earrings for a few years now, the holes haven’t sealed up at all.

Yes just put another in (gold or silver) unless it's looking infected it'll be fine

Yes I would put an earing in . Hole is likely to seal up as so freshly pierced.

Make sure its a nikkel free type. Pure gold/sterling silver etc

Once they are established as yours are it takes much longer to reseal (I had a 2nd piercing age 15 not used it since my 20s now 50s and I can still feel it in my ear)

Absolutely. I have had many piercings.

One being my septum (the bull nose piercing) and I changed the jewellery after one week because it healed so quickly.

I find ears don't close up quickly. Was it just lobe or cartilage? My daughter changed her lobes after around a month (she was 5 when she got them done)

It was a lobe piercing done by syringe at a tattoo shop. Dd has taped it to hold the earring in place. She’s now excited to get a pair of silver studs, hopefully there will be something open today in deepest Norfolk 😂

What kind of jewellery did she have in and how did it break?
