Friend not supportive

Just had to get this off my chest and wondered if folk have experienced similar. Family member has been very ill and I am quite stunned by how a ‘good’ friend has acted.
When I had let her know, I just got a very cold message back with no emotion or feeling.
A big contrast to how others have acted
eg sending a lovely thinking of you card and others checking in regularly.
Its made me change the way I view
her!
Anyone else had this and felt surprised and a bit hurt.

Yes, it happens unfortunately. It’s sad and hurtful, but some people are just not able/willing to be there for others in a deep way.

Focus on your family as much as you can, don’t let her take away that time from you. And don’t fall back into friendship with her again when times are ‘good’.
