Light hearted! But when does the obsession with gamer youtubers end?

We have been a bit more strict with screen time recently and have been a bit too lax. So we are reigning it in. All good. Kids have accepted this. And youtube now had to be watched in the living room so I can be more aware of what they are watching

But good god when does this gamer youtube obsession end? No headphones, because I want to know what they are watching.

What's the next obsession when this one ends....? So I can prepare myself 🤣😅

Urm... If it's true obsession your kids are having then moderation and discussion like combating any obsession would work I think.

If you are simply annoyed at them watching gamers on YouTube rather than the Simpsons, then what's the harm? So long as the YouTube's are age appropriate.

Also, if you are assuming it's an age thing and kids will "grow out of it". Plenty of adults regularly watch more YouTube than TV/streaming services these days.

Well yes, I don't mean a real obsession. It's just bloody annoying.

Trying to find something else for them that isn't so mind numbing!!

It ended for us when I banned them 😄 I’d rather they actually game themselves rather than watch someone else game. Especially the Americans are SO unnecessarily screechy. They’re allowed their random Lego, Mark Rober, fishing, art tutorial YouTubers but gamers are highly highly restricted. And everyone’s cortisol is far lower 😄

@KimKardashiansLostEarring well done!! One loves to draw. So he's been doing more of that. My eldest though is 11 going on 15.
