Yes. I went to Lisbon on Oct and it was pleasantly sunny and warm but not too hot. I have also done Copenhagen in Summer and temp was lovely but I would imagine it would be much cooler etc in autumn. Depends what you want and when you would like to go. They are both great destinations.

Also agree on cost. Lisbon much more affordable for eating out than Copenhagen.

I didn’t like Copenhagen much but enjoyed Lisbon. We went October 2022 and it was lovely and warm. We caught the train along the coast toward Cascais and swam in the sea but didn’t have time to get to Sintra, which is why I want to go back.

I've been to both. I found Lisbon a bit underwhelming but I loved Copenhagen and have been several times.
But it's just personal preference.
For a birthday city break, you're going to have a great time in either of them.

Loved Copenhagen (been twice). Expensive though. Didn't really rate Lisbon, found it a bit dull after the first 2 days

Not been to Lisbon but we loved Copenhagen, very walkable,we saw lots. Felt safe. We had lots of nice sunny weather in September when we went. Touristy but most popular cities are nowadays

Alcohol was a little more expensive than some big cities at home… we budgeted for things being pricey anyway and don’t drink that much. A holiday is always what you make of it and that depends what you actually want from it.

I found Lisbon overrated …..dirty, run down, tired
never been to Copenhagen

Not been to Lisbon but loved Copenhagen. We took a day trip by train to Sweden over the Öresund Bridge (as in Scandi Noir drama 'The Bridge' ). Train goes through Malmö but we stayed on to go to Lund instead. The most beautiful, picturesque place.

I visited Lisbon in March, 2011 and loved it. I’m going again in three weeks time and really hope the temperatures will be several degrees cooler than they are at the moment. I’ve never been to Copenhagen but I’ve always thought it looks lovely. The high prices would put me off a bit though.

I was in Porto this summer.
I've also been to Lisbon and Copenhagen.
I recommend Porto. It's wonderful.
