That Pampers poonami advert

OK, so it's a loooong time since my children were in nappies... and I promise I'm not a poo troll.

The current Pampers advert seems to indicate that if your child does a massive shit in the night then their nappies will guarantee no leakage until morning. The parents who hear the "noises" over the baby monitor on the advert sigh contentedly and go back to sleep safe in the knowledge that nothing will escape.

I am definitely on the slatternly side of acceptable MN hygiene but surely you would get up and change the nappy anyway?

Yes I thought the same.

WhiteRose222 · 24/08/2024 09:39

Yes I would get up and change it!

(Especially with girls and how you need to keep things clean down there and minimise bacteria travelling ...)

@SusieSussex @WhiteRose222

Glad it's not just me! My youngest grandchild is still in nappies and if I heard them doing that over the baby monitor I would definitely be getting out of bed to sort it.

Yeah the advert is stupid.

As a ftm here with a baby girl with an affinity for pooping at the most inconvenient times!! I can confirm...

1.) I would never leave her in her own poop

2.) tried and tested pampers... Biggest lie on the tele. Shit still gets everywhere by the time I get her to the changing table and she is always proud AF about it.

Ive only changed one nappy i was almost sick and the clean nappy fell off the baby.
My sister had to do it.
Many say a woman has a stomach of led that is not true at all.
