Such a lovely house, so much dark grey 😢.
Could I live with Chairman Mao supervising breakfast?.

I love it, apart from Chairman Mao but he'd leave with the vendors. Easy to repaint, but bloody hell the price for a cottage!

I don't know the area but it must be pretty special.

LochKatrine · 23/08/2024 19:50

It's an expensive area, which I like, and I really like the cottage. All that dark grey is so gloomy though. I expect it would look about twice the size without!

I actually really like the dark grey and I'm not a fan of grey generally. It's very well designed and coordinated.

The wardrobes and bathrooms are divine.

LochKatrine · 23/08/2024 19:56

Yes, it's a gorgeous house. The finish looks top notch as well. Quality.

It’s gorgeous but looks like a hotel - you couldn’t come in from work, dump your bag on the floor and flop on the sofa. There’s no storage, nowhere to work. The kitchen doesn’t look like it has ever been used. There’s one bedroom and the other has been converted into a dressing room.

It looks amazing but I wouldn’t buy it. I wonder who would actually - a single person with a lot of money, I suppose.

Newsenmum · 23/08/2024 20:09

The mao is hilarious

Saschka · 23/08/2024 20:12

This one backs onto it and is half the price.

This one also backs into it, has a converted loft and much bigger garden, and is £500k cheaper.

Of course the finishes aren’t as good, but is the first one really £500-800k better? Again I really wonder who the target market is - it’s Richmond not Chelsea.

Yes, obviously the Albert Rd one doesn't have the finish. I think the bathroom and kitchen are quite high spec. There are people who would pay for that. It's probably just their pied a terre. They've probably got a big house in Oxfordshire as well.

I quite like the other Albert Rd one, the £950k one. It seems quite light and the space is used well.

It's nicely done but a bit OTT, and the parking on those roads is dreadful. Alberts cottages usually go to young couples who sell up and move to East Sheen once the second baby comes along.
