Hi all, bit of a random topic but please bear with me.

If you don't have children and you keep your weight stable, at what age do most women's waists start thickening?

I am 35, no kids, same weight and size as ever, but I have been noticing a change in my waist in the last couple of years and I am trying to understand if it is a matter of fitness or just my body changing with age.

Thanks for your thoughts!

It was 50 for me. I do have dc (now adult) but that was the first time ever in my life that I'd been bigger than a size 6-8, and I was always flat of chest and stomach. I was still happily wearing bikinis in my forties. I now have boobs, a belly and wobbly thighs. Having been skinny all my life I hate it; technically I'm still a size 10-12 but am a good 1.5 stone heavier and can't wear half my clothes. I can keep it under a semblance of control by low-carbing and avoiding sugar and alcohol, but it's not easy. The fashions of the last 5 years have been a godsend - I bloody loved that white spotty Zara dress that kicked off the tiered midaxi look back in 2019!
