Landed at Manchester airport 4am after a 5.5 hr flight with dh and ds.
Checked in at hotel and had an apology saying they'd given our family room away and our room was now a v small double. They could put a camping bed in and take £30 off room rate.I agreed as knackered and really just wanted to sleep.
Got to room and after 10 minutes rang reception about ds bed.Oh I told someone to do that as soon as you checked in I'm sure he won't be long.
No sign after another 5 mins so I rang reception and said just leave it we'll all share the double. The receptionist said we could get 60% refund on the room at checkout due to the cock up.

I think this is a good outcome,dh thinks fair and my friend who I phoned this am thinks rubbish and should get full refund.

What do you think?

Full refund

Full refund. You did not get what was paid for. You can claim it back off your credit card if thats how you paid

Depends on their t&cs, did you confirm that you would be arriving late? There is usually a clause to say if you don't notify they can give away after a certain time
