Macaroni cheese made last night, chilled overnight, accidentally left in the warm car since 8am this morning.

Would it kill me?

I would, and I'm pregnant!

Toowindyoutthere · 23/08/2024 11:26

Yeah…not a red hot car, but should be ok in U.K. car

AdaColeman · 23/08/2024 11:38

If it was reheated to volcanic temperature, yes. But if it was to be eaten cold, no.

Peonies12 · 23/08/2024 11:40

Of course, I never put my lunch in the fridge at work. And it's not hot today

longdistanceclaraclara · 23/08/2024 11:53

Wouldn't occur to me to not eat it. I'm in SE and it's not hot.

SeaStory · 23/08/2024 11:55

It won’t be reheated, if that makes a difference?

I would.
There's no meat in it. Cheese, butter, flour, pasta, all fine at room temperature. Even milk is okay for a day or two, and this milk has been cooked anyway.

@Peonies12 I never put my lunch in the fridge at work either. Now that IS the route to food poisoning........!
