Has anyone got one that works? Or any links to a good online one? I don't want anything faddy or very low carb but would like the thinking to be done for me.

The 5/2 will work or come very close. There's also a more severe version of it.

Same. Placemarking.
I've been in despair because I've been on 1400 cals with exercise and have gained 2 lbs!

Holiday in 6 weeks and so many social occasions in the run up too!

Thanks @Lazysuusan but does that mean I have to think of food myself? I just want to follow a plan that someone's worked out.

Assuming you are reasonably overweight. Fast 800 will work.

There's a TV program to go with it, called something like lose a stone in 4 weeks.

Tv show removed. It was followed 500 kcal a day.

I think if you want those results that quickly, going to the gym or lots of cardio would help.

Personally I’m on track to get similar results using the weight loss injections. But even with a restricted diet that provides, I’m not guaranteed to get those results. Exercise gives more certainty

I lost 1 stone in 8 weeks with Nutracheck just by weighing out food and portion control. I didn't do any active exercise.

It's as simple as it comes really. Just eat normally for 5 days, i.e, don't take the piss but don't overeat, then 2 days a week eat 500 cals which isn't all that much but you can google whats in any meals you're thinking of. Doesn't have to be exact. Some people have 2 tiny meals, I preferred to eat one at teatime getting the full 500 cals (ish) in. It takes willpower of course and some days you just break and start eating but its as simple as you can get to get results.

Are you able to exercise a bit as well? I did Dance Shred by James and Ola Jordan and there's a lose a stone in six weeks with diet plan too.

I lost two stone in 12 weeks on Fast 800 so you could probably do a stone in 6 weeks given the weight loss slows towards the end.

Edit to add - if you buy access to the website / app, you can select all your meals for each day, it generates the calorie count, gives you the recipes and shopping list. I found it really easy to follow.

QwertyWitch · 22/08/2024 20:48

I'm happy to exercise and I'm fairly active.
Is fast 800 low carb? Low carb makes me sad.

Why do you want to lose a large amount so quickly - just curious.

I'm currently following the New You Plan - total food replacement.
The plan is very low calorie (600-800 per day) and low carb, which puts your body into ketosis (NOT A KETO Diet).
The food replacement meals are formulated by dieticians and are nutritionally complete and endorsed by NHS.

Most people lose a stone per month (dependant upon how much weight they have to lose of course).

I've just done my first week and have lost 8lb - absolutely over the moon.

The food is in sachet form (shakes, soups, bars and a huge selection of really nice instant savoury meals).
The food is tasty and leaves me feeling full.

Go to their website for more information.

I've just lost a stone in about 6 weeks with the 5 2 diet. You don't eat on 2 days (or at least no more than 500 calories - there are recipes) then eat normally the other days. Recommended, I feel much better for it.
